Frequently Asked Questions
What is the H1B Sponsorship Score?
The Sponsorship Score is H1BTracker's proprietary grading system that rates employers from A (best sponsor) to F (worst) based on four factors: approval rate (40%), wage vs prevailing wage (30%), sponsorship volume consistency (20%), and denial rate (10%).
Where does this data come from?
All data comes from the U.S. Department of Labor's Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data (LCA/H1B). This is public record data that employers must file when sponsoring an H1B visa. We process and score this data to help visa seekers make informed decisions.
How often is the data updated?
The Department of Labor publishes updated LCA disclosure data quarterly. We re-process and re-score all employers each quarter, typically within a week of the data release.
What does the wage vs prevailing wage ratio mean?
Employers must pay H1B workers at least the prevailing wage for their role and location. A ratio above 1.0 means the employer pays above the required minimum. Higher ratios indicate more competitive compensation and factor into a better Sponsorship Score.
